Stone Feature: Agate

Agate is a variety of chalcedony formed from layers of quartz. It usually occurs as rounded nodules or veins. Agate is believed to prevent insomnia, insure pleasant dreams, to give the wearer courage and to protect them against danger. Agate comes in all colors of the rainbow, though blue and green and the most rare. A beautiful shade of red agate, faceted in a large sphere is featured multiple times in Amanda's spring collection. If you need some relaxation, agate is the way to go!

Happy (Almost) St. Patrick's Day

Did you know that the original color of St. Patrick's Day was blue? Over the years it changed over to green, in forms of shamrocks, ribbons, even beer and ketchup! St. Patrick's Day, although not a legal holiday anywhere in the United States, is nonetheless widely recognized and celebrated throughout the country. Will you be celebrating this weekend? Stone Feature: Turquoise

The name turquoise is apparently related to the fact that is was brought to Europe from the Eastern Mediterranean by Levantine traders, more commonly known as Turks. It has been used as a valuable ornament for ages. The color is, of course, turquoise, but it ranges in color from green and greenish blue to sky blue shades. Turquoise is said to attract money, success and love. Its powers include protection, healing, courage, friendship, and luck. Relaxes the mind, and eases mental tension. So if you have a case of the Mondays today, put on some turquoise jewelry to get you through the day!

Baby Shower!

There must be something in the water! We have not one, not two, but three of our worker girls pregnant or have just recently given birth. We had a baby shower for two of them recently, Josie and Claudine. Claudine has just given birth to her little girl Isabella, and Josie is due in April. The pink lemonade and cupcakes were flowing while the girls opened up their gifts of baby clothes, diaper cakes, and gift cards. We love an excuse for a party around here, and wonderful time was had by all!
