Happy Anniversary Andrea!

Today is Andrea's two year anniversary for working at Amanda Sterett Jewelry design. Andrea came to Amanda after school at University of North Texas studying Textiles. Andrea handles all of our stores, their repairs, orders, or concerns, manages the jewelry makers, manages all materials, and so so much more. We couldn't get through a day at the office here without her help and her vivacious personality!

Music Right Now

Anyone that has been in our studio will tell you, music is a huge part of our day. We always have Pandora blasting and we love all going to concerts together. In the past year we went together to see a Rolling Stones cover band, Kings of Leon, and Passion Pit in concert. We wanted to share with you some of our favorites from our past concerts along with a couple of bands that we are currently obsessed with. AS Fashion Police: Golden Globes 2011

Around the Amanda Sterett studio on Monday morning voices were chipper, as we sat around to discuss the Golden Globes from last night. Discussed were the host (hilarious), the winners, the losers, and of course, the fashion. Below are our choices for Best & Worst dressed, let's see if you agree.

THE BEST:Andrea says, "She looked dreamy and was totally rocking the bangs!"

Zachary says, "Daring in pink, love the single sleeve."

Jordan says, "Love the color combo of the bright blue ring & pink dress!"


THE WORST:
Andrea says, "Hot mess."

Zachary says, "She looks like Tarzan."

Jordan says, "The color, press on flowers from JoAnn's Fabrics, all wrong."

Engagement Photo Session

One of Amanda's dear friends, Claire, traveled to Austin, TX this week to have her engagement photos taken. She was, naturally, in some amazing Amanda Sterett Jewelry! We just had to share with you guys the stunning photos. Congratulations to Claire and Ben!

Dallas Modern Luxury's Fresh Faces of 2011

Amanda has been selected as one of twelve Dallas Modern Luxury’s Fresh Faces of Fashion, 2011! The 'Fresh Faces' are selected as the most stylish women in Dallas, featured in the March issue of Dallas Modern Luxury, & participate in the fashion show/gala in March. This annual event, sponsored by Park Place Motorcars & Stanley Korshak, benefits the Suicide & Crisis Center of North Texas. This morning Amanda had her photo shoot for the magazine's March issue. It took place at The Shak in Dallas. She wore a black Red Valentino dress and some amazing leopard Christian Louboutin shoes. Specifically for the occasion, Amanda designed a gold hoop, draping with chain. She will be auctioning off the hoops at the gala benefiting the Suicide & Crisis Center of North Texas. We want to share this experience with all of you, so we will be updating you on the events and her progress as it goes. See some of the behind-the-scenes photos below!

2010, a year in reflection

With 2010 coming to an end, it's time to reflect on all the amazing things that have happened to Amanda Sterett Jewelry Design in the past year. Winning "Best Jewelry Designer" by D Magazine, the Liv Earring on The View (multiple times!), being in national magazines like Cosmopolitan, InStyle and Martha Stewart Weddings, etc. With all of the amazing things that have happened to us, it is imperative that we give back to our community. Alongside our 20% donation of proceeds from the Breast Cancer Collection to Breast Cancer Awareness & Research, we have donated over 80 pieces of jewelry to charity and other organizations all over the nation. A special thanks to all of our friends, family, and fans for making 2010 such a fabulous year. Here is to 2011!

Martha Stewart Weddings

Amanda has a piece featured in the Winter 2011 Martha Stewart Weddings, the Meg Necklace in gold/pearl. This is a beautiful and classic piece that has been a staple in Amanda's collection for a few years now. It is a delicate 16" necklace with Japanese white pearls attached by hand to each link.

I love Thanksgiving. Everyone celebrates this holiday and it is a time for reflection on the wonderful blessings we have in our lives. I am personally grateful for much this year. My health and the health of my family, the ability to spread goodwill to others, my wonderful friends and family, my staff with which I could accomplish nothing without, all those who love and support my work, and above all, my incredible daughter, Olivia, who has taught me as much as I hope I have taught her.
