Best of Big D: Voting Time!

Hi friends and family!

It's that time of year again. I have been nominated, for the third time in row, for D Magazine's 'Best Jewelry Designer in Dallas for 2012' voting contest. Voting is ONCE A DAY this year as opposed to every hour, and begins on February 20th and ends on March 4th.

If you're eye rolling, I get it. We are thrilled to be a part of this competition again, but understand it takes a lot of asking for votes! It's such an amazing accomplishment for me and my team and I want to thank you in advance for participating.

Stone Feature: Blue Peruvian Opal

Peruvian blue opal is relatively rare and is only found in the Andes mountains near San Patricio, Peru. It is a very translucent stone with color similar to the Caribbean Sea. The Peruvian blue opal has soft relaxing energies. Legend says that it takes the tension out of communication and helps ideas flow freely. It softens the impact of stress from the outside world and can help one to release the trauma of old wounds. It is reported to be good for quieting the mind and as an aid to sleep. It's no wonder that the beautiful color of October's birthstone inspired Amanda to use it frequently in her latest collection.

Neon

Another trend spotted for Spring 2012 is NEON! Hot pink, hot orange, anything HOT basically. This trend is great to ease into with a few small accessories, or if you're one for taking risks, you can create an entire neon outfit. How can you not have a good day when you are rocking some neon? It's a sure-fire way to beat those mid-week blues!

There is a new phenomenon that is sweeping the wrists of fashionable ladies all over the country, and it's called an Arm Party. Basically you just pile bracelets on top of bracelets, as many as you can fit, onto your wrists. Simple enough, right? What's great about this trend is anyone can pull it off.
